Kung Fu was commissioned by Virgin Media as a viral campaign to promote this martial arts training video. The idea was to produce an ad which definitely wouldn't meet television advertising standards and so would be passed peer to peer as viewers couldn't expect friends to see it on the TV.
The trainer, a genuine Shaolin Monk liked the idea of references to the classic TV series Kung Fu believing it would definitely strike a chord with his potential buyers. Sales doubled in a week following launch.
