Toilet Man was ClikFlik's first video and has notched up over 170,000 views on YouTube.
Created before YouTube was invented this was a classic viral film, distributed at less than 1MB in size as a file that was emailed around the world. It epitomises the elements of viral video making. Short, shocking, and slightly distasteful. It was important to inspire people to send the email on by falling slightly below Advertising standards so it was clear you were never going to see this on TV.
The film was shot one evening in a GP Surgery toilet. The stunt man made sure that every industrial cleaner known to man was used on the bowl before attempting the dive. The scripting process took two days and the edit and foley were done in a day. The clients, Transworld Publishers, were able to start sending the email out within a week of a promotional film being suggested. Today no book is launched without some video promotion, ClikFlik led the way.
