Driving Range was commissioned by Cogent Elliot for Jaguar Land Rover. For this ad for the Landrover TDV8 we suggested getting away from just another set of gorgeous shots of cars driving in amazing landscapes and, instead, express its versatility, its sportiness and associate it with fun and escape. We also wanted to tease the viewer to imagine what the product actually is so we didn't want to show the car until the end.
The film was shot in a day on a golf course with little more than some string and 100 golfballs. The sound was recorded in an afternoon off-roading with the TDV8. The very careful grade, edit and digital string removal took a couple of days of fine tuning.
